Day two of the CCIO4* - NC – S Test Event held at the Pratoni del Vivaro leading up to the Eventing FEI World Championships™ 2022 (September15-22), marked the end of the dressage test today.
Once again, like yesterday, the best performance came from Germany’s Ingrid Klimke riding EQUISTROs Siena Just Do It (22.7 negative points) which meant she overtook herself having finished first yesterday riding SAP Hale Bob OLD (24,8).
In the final ranking for the dressage, Klimke is followed by France’s Maxime Livio (Api du Libaire, 25.4) and New Zealand’s Jonelle Price (Faerie Magnifico, 25.9).
The best Italian was Pietro Grandis (Scuderia 1918 Future, 29.3), who is now lying in 15th place for the CCIO4*-NC-S, is now the leader in the ranking for the Italian Eventing Championships.
Grandis is very closely followed by Paolo Torlonia (Bambino de l’Ilatte, 29.5) and Mattia Luciani (Tresor de la Loge, 31.8).
The spectacular cross-country phase starts tomorrow at 10.30 am over a 3,550 metres course with 28 jumps amounting to 37 efforts (optimum time 6'14”, maximum time 12'28”) designed by Giuseppe della Chiesa. On Sunday the test event will come to an end with the show jumping at 10.30 am. Admission is free of charge as it will also be next week for Driving Test Event (May 20-22).
This Test Event is the first leg of the FEI Eventing Nations Cup™ 2022. There are nine teams competing and after the dressage Germany (78.70) is in the lead followed by France (82.30) and New Zealand (87.50).
