The 'Impianto Sportivo Equestre di Rocca di Papa - Pratoni del Vivaro' is situated in the Castelli Romani Park, east of the Italian capital. The facilities occupy an area measuring over 120 hectares in the municipality of Rocca di Papa, at an altitude of about 500 metres above sea level. This is an equestrian centre known all over the world for hosting multidisciplinary events. It is in particular ideally suitable for horses and riders training for those disciplines for which the countryside is essential (eventing, driving and endurance). In 1960 this equestrian centre hosted the cross country for the Eventing Olympic Games held in Rome. Since then it has always hosted extremely prestigious events such as the Eventing, Driving and Endurance European and World Championships. The 'Impianto Sportivo Equestre di Rocca di Papa - Pratoni del Vivaro' has also been the ideal setting for many professional training courses organised by the Italian Equestrian Sports Federation.
